Athlete Drop-Off and Pick-Up
All practices will start and end at the scheduled time. Please make every effort to have athletes at the gym with enough time to help with equipment set-up (15 minutes prior to start time). If the athlete will be late or will miss practice, please contact your team coach to notify him/her. Please be prompt to pick-up athletes after practices. We require our coaches to ensure all athletes have transportation before they leave practice, so please be courteous. Coaches may not transport athletes.
Spectators at Practice
Parents are welcome to watch practices. Due to USA Volleyball insurance regulations, only USA Volleyball members may participate at practice. Parents who would like to help out at practices must register as a USA Volleyball member ($50 annually, please contact us for registration instructions). For safety purposes, we do not allow siblings to play in the gym area during practices. Parents are responsible for monitoring their children. Shooting baskets, playing with volleyballs, and running around the gym area are prohibited for all non-registered guests. Parking at Palo Verde High School
There are two parking lots available for use at Palo Verde. The first is the faculty/staff parking lot, located on the north side of campus (right off of 22nd Street). This is the lot we prefer athletes to use if it is available. For supervision purposes, all athletes should be picked up after practice in the north parking lot. The second is the student parking lot, located on the south side of campus. Please only use this lot if the front lots are full (during basketball season). Please be courteous and mindful of where you are parking. Please obey all posted parking signs on campus. |
